Representative Gallego Comments on Sequestration

U.S. House Representative Pete Gallego commented today on Texas Public Radio’s, KSTX, The Source, on the continued effects of the sequester. Representative Gallego specifically mentioned the negative impact that would face Border Patrol Agents and Defense Department employees and the communities they reside in. The Representative stated that the sequester was an “apalling” concept and was “bad public policy.” Representative Gallego noted that Congress initially proposed the sequester as a catastrophic notion that it would logically be averted prior to its implementation but that instead the Congress, “hasn’t dealt with the sequester to this day.” Finally, the Representative summarized what we all feared, that when it comes to the sequester, there is “no sense of urgency” in Washington, DC.
